With its new industrial visualisation solution for hazardous areas, R. STAHL is launching a future-proof innovation: A 55" industrial monitor with integrated remote connection – safely housed in an Ex p control panel. With this innovation, the company is enabling large-format and flexible process visualisation in hazardous areas themselves for the first time – without compromising on safety, functionality or IT integration.
At the industrial Internet of Things continues to develop, there is a growing demand for consistent data visualisation and seamless communication, including in hazardous zones. The chemical industry in particular requires large-format display solutions on the shopfloor. R. STAHL is meeting this demand with a new customisable Ex solution based on industry standards.
At the heart of this solution is a pressurised enclosure (type of protection: Ex p) which houses a high-resolution 55" monitor and a compact client PC. This protective solution comprises a precision-controlled Ex p system with automatic purging, a digitally controlled valve, pressure monitors and integrated temperature monitoring system – ideal for Zones 1, 2 and 22.
Seamless integration thanks to Remote HMI V7
The built-in thin client communicates securely with the central control system via Remote HMI V7, while data is transmitted reliably via RDP. User navigation is impressive with a kiosk function, roll-based access control and central administration – for maximum IT security and ease of use.
Whether process data, training information or safety-relevant instructions – the solution is perfect for a wide range of applications. Thanks to its modular architecture and standardised industrial components, it is cost-efficient and can be flexibly adapted to different requirements in the field.
Key benefits at a glance:
- Approved for Zones 1, 2 and 22
- Large-format display (up to 55") in the hazardous area itself
- Open client architecture for future-proof visualisation
- Remote connection via HMI V7, secure RDP communication
- Multifunctional use: Visualisation, training, information and instructions, control system integration
- Advanced safety functions with purge air cooling, also for emergencies
- Individual adaptation to customer requirements (mounting, interfaces, location)
With this solution, R. STAHL is bridging the gap between digitalisation and explosion protection, bringing transparency exactly where it is needed in industrial processes: The shopfloor in hazardous areas.
