Efficiency redefined

R. STAHL presents Pro upgrade for EXLUX 6002 and 6009 linear luminaires

Ex Exlux Linear Luminaires R. STAHL News

With a comprehensive upgrade to boost efficiency, R. STAHL is taking its successful EXLUX PRO 6002 and 6009 linear luminaires to a whole new level. The latest generation achieves a luminaire efficiency of up to 168 lm/W and significantly reduces the energy consumption compared to the previous generation – whilst retaining the same luminaire luminous flux and high light quality.

Not only do the new EXLUX PRO luminaires lower operating costs, they also play an active role in protecting the environment by reducing CO₂ emissions. And there's more – when it comes to the German Insect Conservation Act or the future introduction of stricter requirements for colour temperatures, R. STAHL offers future-proof options with insect-friendly light colours.

With the upgrade for greater efficiency, R. STAHL is setting new standards in industrial lighting. In typical applications – for instance in production and storage buildings with 500 luminaires – the new LED technologies saves more than 10,000 kWh of electricity per year compared to previous LED solutions. This is equal to the annual consumption of around three detached houses. This means that several hundreds of Euros per year can be saved per building, depending on the price of electricity. At the same time, the CO₂ emissions are reduced by around four tonnes per year – per building.

  • Brownfield-ready: 100% backwards compatible – ideal for simple renovations without new cabling
  • Optimised glare reduction: Choose between clear and sandblasted translucent cover – ideal for low ceilings or sensitive areas
  • Light colours for every application: Warm white (4000K), neutral white (5000K), cool white (6500K) and insect-friendly 2700K (IDA-compliant)
  • Robust and durable: Ambient temperature range from -40 °C to +60 °C
  • Reliable luminous flux: 90% after 100,000 operating hours
  • Certified in accordance with ATEX and IECEx, suitable for Zones 1/21 and 2/22
  • DALI-compatible: For modern, digital light management in hazardous areas
  • The EXLUX PRO 6002 is also optionally available with an address module for operation in combination with central battery systems as emergency lighting systems

EXLUX PRO 6009 – efficient and systematic emergency luminaire:

  • Self-contained emergency lighting with LED and integrated battery
  • New class of efficiency in emergency lighting applications too
  • More than 2000 lm or luminous flux of up to 60% when emergency lighting is used
  • Automatic self-test: Weekly functional test and annual rated operating time test with test results indicated by clearly visible status LED
  • Operating time can be switched from 1.5 hours to 3.0 hours
  • Optionally with DALI: Intelligent monitoring and control, as well as central display and documentation of the test function
  • Reliable luminous flux: 90% after an operating time of 100,000 hours

Certainty when planning existing projects

By focusing on existing installations, R. STAHL is addressing a key requirement of industry: The existing cabling is retained, the luminaires have compatible dimensions and lighting characteristics. The EXLUX PRO luminaires boast a true "plug & light" concept – easy to replace without recalculation, while ensuring compliance with standards.

"Our customers receive a reliable, highly efficient and sustainable product, which is ready for immediate use – without the need to change the infrastructure," explains Rico Schulz, product manager at R. STAHL. "With up to 168 lumens per watt, we are raising the benchmark when it comes to luminaire efficacy too."

Conclusion: With the upgrade to make the 6002 and 6009 series of luminaires more efficient, R. STAHL offers a sophisticated and practical solution boasting cutting-edge technology for industrial lighting in hazardous areas. Whether energy savings, sustainability, or standard-compliant planning: The new EXLUX PRO luminaires are fit for the future – and make switching to state-of-the-art LED technology easier than ever before.
