R. STAHL Camera Systems has designed a new, compact full HD camera for visual process surveillance in hazardous areas Zone 1 and 21. Available with 3x and 10x zoom, the surveillance cameras of the EC-910-AFZ series feature state-of-the-art video functions for universal application in the oil and gas industry as well as in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries. It is the most cost effective solution that reduces the burden of financial stress when planning to install powerful video surveillance. The EC-910-AFZ enables plant operators to cost-effectively optimise plant security, for example by cutting down on security patrols or by simultaneously monitoring several critical process points, having them double-checked on-site and in the control room. The 10x zoom version is furthermore certified by Lloyd's Register for onshore and offshore application. The compact IP autofocus cameras with 3x zoom are also ideally suited for inspection window monitoring at tanks or reactors, and, with their wide horizontal viewing angle of 90°, provide a comprehensive view of the process.
The high light-sensitivity of the image sensor, together with Wide Dynamic Range, ensures clear video images even under difficult light conditions with great contrasts. The day/night mode automatically adjusts lighting to suit the ambient brightness. The devices feature a defog function for improved motive recognition in fog, steam or smoke. To keep the installation effort to a minimum, data and energy can be transmitted via the same cable (from CAT5e onwards) via PoE+, without limiting functionality. Alternatively, the camera can be supplied with 24 VDC or 24 VAC via a separate cable. ONVIF-Profil S and Q interfaces make network integration simple and uncomplicated, with easy device recognition and configuration.
The lightweight 6.5 kg camera system in its electro polished stainless-steel enclosure has been designed for a wide temperature range from -40 °C to +65 °C. The standard delivery is with or without multi-cable and includes a bracket for wall and ceiling mounting. As a further option for mounting on inspection windows, R.STAHL Camera Systems provides a stainless-steel inspection window bracket.
