With EXLUX 6409/1, R. STAHL introduces LED emergency luminaires for Zone 2, 21 and 22 on the market. The durable and low-maintenance devices in type of protection Ex na are certified pursuant to ATEX and IECEx for global use. In mains operation, they achieve a luminous efficiency of up to 91 lm/W, depending on the version, and, in case of power failure, they automatically switch to battery supply. The new luminaires provide a comprehensive solution for facilities without central battery system.
Due to their extremely robust design, they are particularly suitable for very demanding and harsh conditions. The emergency luminaires with foamed-in silicone seal ensure high degree of protection IP66/67; they have an impact strength of IK10 and durably withstand temperatures of -30 °C up to +60 °C. The lightweight, corrosion-resistant enclosure, made of a torsion-resistant plastic material, are also ideally suited for maritime applications.
The new series complies with all the requirements on emergency luminaires specified in EN 60598-2-22 and EN 61347-2-7 and ensures emergency lighting for up to three hours with a battery capacity of 7 Ah. To check readiness for operation, the devices carry out a weekly self-test and an annual automatic rated operating time test. All parts that may be replaced are easily accessible on the reflector sheet and can thus be easily renewed by the maintenance personnel.
R. STAHL offers four variants of series 6409/1, with a power consumption of 28 W or 52 W and cable entries made of metal or plastic, as well as an internal through wiring as standard. Both the linear LED luminaries of the EXLUX family and the new emergency luminaires are designed for input voltages of 110 V up to 240 V and 50/60 Hz. They may be installed on walls or ceilings, pendant or pole-mounted, with all the fastening systems that have been developed for this product line.
