RFID readers for hazardous and safe areas

R. STAHL's RFID readers are used as proximity readers in hazardous areas for contactless reading and transmitting of data. Be it ID cards, key fobs or other media, the areas of application for this HMI technology are manifold. The explosion-protected versions of our RFID scanners have been certified according to ATEX, IECEx for Zones 1, 2, 21 and 22. Industrial versions are available for operation in safe areas.

  • Certified for Zones 1, 2, 21, 22 (version Z1) or Zones 2, 22 (version Z2)
  • MIFARE CLASSIC, DESFIRE, LEGIC MIM, LEGIC ATC, SONY FELICIA, INSIDE SECURE and many other protocols
  • Can be operated worldwide in temperatures ranging from -40 °C to +70 °C
  • Installation directly in hazardous area
  • As USB, RS-422, ASCII or CRYPT version
