This terminal is designed to connect Ethernet cables in hazardous areas. The connection technology that is standard for data transmission, such as RJ45 plug connectors, can only be used directly in safe areas, while the Ethernet terminal with Ex eb type of protection makes cost-effective use possible in Ex enclosures with easy mounting.
