Ethernet
The 9721 series media converter converts electrical Ethernet networks into optically inherently safe "op is" Ethernet networks, allowing installation and maintenance work to be conducted on fiber optics in Zones 0, 1, 2 and Class I Div.1, 2 without the need for downtime (hot swap/hot work). It is particularly suitable for the IS1+ Ethernet remote I/O system. The extremely compact media converter may also be installed in Zone 2 and Class I Div.2 area.
- For 100 Mbit/s Ethernet with inherently safe "op is" fiber optic in Zone 0, 1, 2 and Class I Div.1, 2
- Range up to 5 km / 3 miles (multi-mode) or up to 30 km / 18 miles (single-mode)
- Increased temperature range of -30 to +75 °C (-22° to 167° F)
