R. STAHL's IS1+ system sets the gold standard for communication systems in hazardous locations. The systems do not need any complex Ex d or Ex p enclosures for installations in explosive atmospheres. This ensures modifications and expansions are possible during operation, even in Zone 1 or Division 1. Versatile functions and applications make these systems suitable for varied applications in the process industry.

The IS1+ system is the world's number one remote I/O system used in hazardous locations covering Zones 1 and 2, Class I Divisions 1 and 2 thanks to its international certifications for explosion protection as well as marine certifications.

The IS1+ remote I/O system is the state-of-the-art, cost-saving interface solution. Virtually any hazardous locations can have it installed. The system is certified in accordance with ATEX, IEC, NEC, CEC and many other standards. Connectivity included, it supports PROFIBUS DP, Modbus RTU and TCP, EtherNet/IP and PROFINET protocols. Thanks to full HART transparency, the IS1+ system is also compatible with all HART field devices and asset management tools.

With the IS1+ remote I/O system, new multi-functional modules are available. This includes analogue and digital inputs and outputs. The innovative low-power design for ambient temperatures of -40 to +75 °C (-40° to 167°F) make the device and modules last significantly longer. In fact, service life can go up to more than 15 years.
